THE RALEIGH COURT STORY:
THE CHURCH OF THE OPEN DOOR

Throughout its 86-year history, Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church has responded in faith and sacrifice to visions for its future growth and service.  In 1924, 155 charter members came together to construct “The Little Church”.

In 1926, blessed with rapid expansion, the members responded to the vision of a new sanctuary and Sunday school building named "The Church of the Open Door".  Today we know and use that building as the Roberson building named in 1970 in honor of the church's first pastor.

In 1958, our members’ faithful response to a vision of growth and service resulted in the construction of the current sanctuary and renovation of the fellowship hall, classrooms, and offices.

Renovation and expansion in 1997 provided increased space to classroom teaching choirs, and fellowship necessary to a growing congregation.

Thanks to their love, faith, and devotion the church has shared these facilities between congregational and outreachprograms.

Through the commitment, foresight, wisdom and sacrifice of past and present generations we have built a beautiful house for worship, music, study, children's ministry, and fellowship. We praise god and thank him for his blessings of visions and our ability to realize them. "We are blessed to be a blessing."
